Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD)

Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) is a circulatory condition where narrowed or blocked arteries reduce blood flow to the limbs, usually the legs. This can cause pain, cramping, or fatigue during walking or exercise, and in severe cases, ulcers or tissue damage. PAD is often linked to atherosclerosis and shares risk factors with cardiovascular disease. Early detection, lifestyle modifications, and medical or surgical treatments help improve circulation, reduce symptoms, and prevent serious complications such as limb ischemia.

Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)

DVT occurs when a blood clot forms in a deep vein, typically in the legs.

Pulmonary Embolism (PE)

Pulmonary Embolism (PE) occurs when a blood clot, often from the deep veins of the legs (DVT), travels to and blocks a pulmonary artery in the lungs. This can reduce oxygen supply, strain the heart, and be life-threatening if not treated promptly. Risk factors include immobility, surgery, cancer, or clotting disorders. Early recognition, anticoagulation therapy, and sometimes surgical intervention are crucial to prevent complications, preserve lung function, and improve survival.

Varicose Veins

Varicose veins are dilated, tortuous superficial veins, most commonly in the legs, caused by venous insufficiency. They are often chronic and can cause discomfort, cosmetic concerns, or complications if untreated.
