Varicocele is the abnormal enlargement of veins within the scrotum, similar to varicose veins in the legs. It commonly occurs on the left side and can affect sperm production and quality, potentially contributing to male infertility. Many cases are asymptomatic, but some may cause discomfort, swelling, or testicular atrophy. Early diagnosis through physical examination and imaging helps guide management.
