Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS)

Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) is a minimally invasive ENT procedure performed to treat chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, and sinus blockages that do not respond to medical therapy. Using an endoscope, the surgeon removes obstructions and improves sinus drainage while preserving normal anatomy. FESS reduces symptoms such as nasal congestion, facial pain, and recurrent infections. It is typically performed under general anaesthesia, allows faster recovery, and improves breathing and overall sinus function.
