About the Procedure
Care Before the Procedure
- Inform the doctor about allergies, medications, or bleeding disorders.
- Avoid nasal trauma or picking before the procedure.
- Discuss prior sinus surgeries or infections.
- Follow instructions on pre-procedure nasal cleaning.
Care During the Procedure
- Local anaesthesia applied to numb the nasal cavity.
- Cannula inserted into the sinus for irrigation.
- Saline or antiseptic solution flushed through the sinus.
- Mild discomfort or pressure may be felt.
Care After the Procedure
- Resume normal activities unless advised otherwise.
- Mild nasal irritation or watery discharge is common.
- Use prescribed medications or nasal sprays as directed.
- Follow up if symptoms persist or infection recurs.
