About
Mr. Ahmed M.A. Jawahery is a Bahraini businessman and entrepreneur. He graduated from LONDON UNIVERSITY, where he obtained a B.Sc. (Eng.) HONORS degree. He is the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Middle East Trading & Engineering WLL (METE).
METE established by Mr. Jawahery in 1975, has grown into a major organisation specialized in Engineering and Trading activities, associated through a global network of specialized companies providing quality services and the local supports to the industries with special emphasis in Energy Sector, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Industries, Power Generation, Power Transmission and Distribution, General Industrial Maintenance, Logistics and Health Care. He is a local and international Real Estate investor.
In July 2004, Mr. Ahmed M.A. Jawahery established a Medical Center in the Kingdom of Bahrain called Kims Bahrain Medical Center (KBMC) in partnership with Kerala Institute of Medical Science in India (KIMS). KIMSHEALTH Hospital, the 70-bed hospital and Kims Bahrain Medical Center - KBMC are low-cost, affordable medical facilities providing quality healthcare services. Mr. Ahmed Jawahery is the Chairman of Kims Health Medical Centres and is the President and Senior Partner in Royal Bahrain Hospital-RBH, a 70-bed multi-speciality hospital equipped to provide high-quality care with the most modern equipment and highly qualified doctors. He is the Chairman and Chief Executive of Salma Pharmacy and RBH Medical Center, which provides high-quality medical services and home care services.
He was the partner and Executive Director of American Cultural & Educational Center (ACEC), which was operational since 2001, serving the Bahraini public with courses in American English as a second language, test preparation for the TOEFL, SAT, GRE, GMAT and specialised courses for business, conversation and individual tuition. He is the Chairman of Global Logistical Services WLL and the Director of Gates E&S Bahrain WLL, and the Honorary Chairman of Oxygen Gym.
Mr. Jawahery is the first Bahraini to be honored by the Knighthood of the Republic of Italy “Cavaliere” by the President of the Republic of Italy His Excellency Napolitano on the recommendation of the Prime Minister His Excellency Berlosconi in 2008 for his contribution and promotion of the Italian Industries and assisting in the development of economic and business relationship in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the other GCC Countries.
Mr. Ahmed Jawahery is the Chairman of the Alliance Francaise in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He is a board member of the Italian Bahraini Friendship Association – IBFA, and he was the President of the Italian Bahraini Friendship Association – IBFA for a consecutive 9 years.
He was the board member of the American Chamber of Commerce (Amcham) in Bahrain and the board member of the Bahrain India Society, and the past president of the Rotary Club of Manama. In addition to being a successful businessman, Mr. Ahmed M.A. Jawahery devotes his considerable time to charity and other Community Support organisations. Mr. Jawahery has received many awards for his voluntary services to the community from the Ministry of Labour & Social Affairs and various Government and Private Authorities in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and also from the District Governor of Rotary Clubs International, Royal Charity Organisation and many other Charity Societies and Organisations.

In 2004, Mr. Jawahery partnered with the Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) to establish KIMS Bahrain Medical Center (KBMC), marking a significant step in strengthening private healthcare services in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He currently serves as Chairman of KBMC and President of Royal Bahrain Hospital, a state-of-the-art 65-bed hospital, as well as KIMSHEALTH Hospital, a 70-bed facility in Bahrain.
Under his leadership, the organisation has established its head office in Bahrain and expanded its presence across other GCC countries. Alongside healthcare, Mr. Jawahery is also the Partner and Executive Director of the American Cultural & Educational Center (ACEC), operational since 2001.
Beyond business, Mr. Jawahery is actively involved in community service and charitable initiatives. He is the past President of the Rotary Club of Manama and continues to contribute to social and community development efforts in Bahrain.
