Fever
About the disease & condition
Fever is a temporary increase in body temperature, usually caused by an illness or infection. It is a natural response of the immune system to help fight viruses, bacteria, or other harmful substances. A normal body temperature is around 37°C (98.6°F), and a fever occurs when it rises above this level. Fever itself is not a disease but a symptom of an underlying condition and often goes away as the body recovers.
