Screening for genital tract malignancy, including Pap smear and HPV testing, is essential for the early detection of precancerous cervical lesions, helping prevent progression to cervical cancer. Risk factors include human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, smoking, and multiple sexual partners. Early stages are usually asymptomatic, while later signs may include abnormal bleeding or unusual discharge. Diagnosis involves Pap smear, HPV testing, and colposcopy if indicated.
